Compare and Contrast Paragraph
City Life And
Village Life
'Man made the city and Allah made
the country' is an old saying. Village life is really different from city life.
Firstly, town life is a life of luxury and plenty where village life is simple.
Secondly, town life is a busy, competitive, and noisy life. Buses, trucks,
cars, and other vehicles always ply on and the industries make a sound. Life in
town is complex and difficult. It makes people more or less selfish. People in
town are always busy with their own affairs. The town is rather nasty with its
dust, filth and bad smell. Vehicles ply constantly in town. Accidents occur
there every now and then. Cheats and pick-pockets also abound in town. On the
other hand, village life is quiet and peaceful. There is no rush and hurry in
the village. Thirdly there are air pollution, water pollution and sound pollution
in the city. But the village life is free from all the three kinds of
pollution. The air is fresh and clean. Fourthly city life offers greater modern
facilities of life. In the city schools, madrasahs and colleges offer a better
standard of education. There are Universities and Medical colleges in cities.
There are scopes for trade, and commerce in cities. So the standard of living
in a city is higher than in a village. City life offers scope for employment in
the country there is no scope of employment facilities in the village. So we
can say that there are many differences between life and village life.
Online Class And Traditional
Class
There are two types of classes - Traditional face-to-face class and Online class. If we compare both, the traditional classes are better than online classes in many ways. First, in the traditional classes, a personal attention can be given to the particular student whereas it is not possible in online classes because learner has to learn by himself/herself. Learning in a class with same age group is fun and interesting thing for the students. It is also helpful in memorizing which is possible only in a traditional class. Whereas there are no such types of interactive groups in online classes. This can lead to monotonousness. In online classes, computer or mobile may affect our eye sight but there is no such harm in traditional classes. In traditional classes, moral values are taught whereas in online classes, the importance is given only to curriculum. In traditional class, every doubt of a child can be cleared whereas it is not possible in online classes. Traditional classes can clear the concept of a student in a manner which he/she understands but for online classes, the content is fixed and cannot be changed according to the learners’ ability. In the context of present day situation, in the traditional person, to person education system, learners are not assisted with computers, Internet. The students cannot enjoy the facilities of text, radio, images, animation, streaming video provided by the online equipment. However, I think that the traditional classes are better than online classes.
Nuclear
Family and Extended Family
Family is the most important part
of the society. There are mainly two types of
families namely nuclear family and extended family. A nuclear family is a small
family consisting of husband and wife and their children. On the contrary, an
extended family is a big family that consists not only of parents and children
but also of grandfather, aunts, etc. Despite the similarities between
them, they differ from each other because of social and economic conditions. At present, most people are fond of forming a nuclear
family. A nuclear family is supposed to be less troublesome. On the contrary,
an extended family is supposed to be noisier. It is thought that more
troublesome situations take place in an extended family. Day-to-day living
expenses are increasing. So, people do not like to form an extended family. In
a nuclear family, children can get good food and education. But the nuclear
family may also have some disadvantages. Children in a nuclear family may feel
lonely and bored because there are not many members of a nuclear family. On the
contrary, children in an extended family do not feel lonely as they always get
companions. Thus there are some merits and demerits in both the nuclear family
and extended family.
School Life
and College Life
There is a great deal of
difference between school life and college life. Every person’s educational
life starts from his school life. Basically, during this period, a child gets a
handle on his educational life which is considered to be the auspicious
beginning of his academic career. On the other hand, college life is one of the
most important stages of a student’s educational life. During college life a
student acquires knowledge on specialized subjects and further advances in
career goals. Basically, after the end of school life, our college life begins.
In school life we meet new people for the first time which teaches us to make
new friends. Here the teachers are very sincere. As a result, they teach the
students with love. As school life is not very strict with rules and
regulations, we spend this life very happily. As a result, we can never forget
school life and childhood memories. On the other hand, as soon as we enter
college life, we have to leave our childhood friends. There are various rules
and regulations. As a result we study hard hoping for a better future. During
the college life a student gets involved in various social activities and
voluntary organizations besides the institutional studies which teaches to
sacrifice oneself for the welfare of the country. School life and college life
is a very important time in everyone’s life. Basically these periods determine
the future course of a student’s life.
Technical
Education and General Education
Education is the backbone of a nation.
Education enlightens a person. In this respect, both types of education play
significant roles in the development of a nation. General education usually
makes a man highly education. But this type of education often fails to
establish a man in his life, because general education does not make a person
specialized. As a result, a number of highly education persons remain
unemployed and finally, they become the burden of the country. On the other
hand, a man who has technical education, can somehow manage a job or may be
self-reliant. General education often cannot provide a man with any suitable
job. Rather it produces highly education clerks. General education may fulfill
the demand of education but it cannot fulfill one’s basic needs. A country,
like Bangladesh needs devoted workers which only technical education may
provide. Surprisingly, it is seen that one, completing his MBBS course, serves
in Administration or Police or in any commercial institution. On the other hand,
technical education is job oriented. It ensures getting a job in the respective
field, whereas general education increases tension and frustration. Technical
education should be compulsory to all. On the contrary general education should
be only for the selected persons. Regarding our socio-economic condition,
technical education is inevitable.
